Back in 1979 Farzana Begum, mother of the Mumtaz Family opened a tiny shop just four square meters on great Horton road in Bradford, and quickly became famous for its authentic Kashmiri Cuisine. Little did she know then, that from these humble beginnings was to grow a multi-national food operation that spans the globe, with prestigious restaurants in Bradford and Leeds.
All of this was achieved by keeping faithful to our Mother’s original recipes and continuing to use the finest ingredients in all of our produce.
Farzana Begum, would have been proud to know that the seeds she planted all those years ago have grown to not only produce quality food but to also help others less fortunate then ourselves through the many charities we support worldwide.

Mumtaz Leeds welcomes your event, whether a corporate meeting or nikah wedding celebration – we have the perfect space for you.
Our spacious function room provides comfortable seating for up to 300 guests and a busy kitchen serving a wide variety of delicious Kashmiri cuisine. We have various party packages available, delicious celebratory desserts, a private function room and a separate prayer room with ablution facilities.
